WHY WE ALWAYS USE FRESH PINEAPPLE JUICE IN OUR MEZCAL PINEAPPLE TONIC RECIPE

For this pineapple and mezcal cocktail recipe, we always use pineapple juice made with our juicer. Here’s why:

Fresh pineapple juice is made from, you guessed it, fresh pineapples! Pineapple concentrate is made from pineapples that have been cooked down into a syrup and then reconstituted with water. Also, concentrate typically has a higher sugar content than fresh juice.

HOW TO MAKE A MEZCAL PINEAPPLE TONIC

To make this cocktail recipe begin by filling a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Combine mezcal, orange liqueur, and pineapple juice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. In two glasses filled with ice, pour in cocktail mixture. Squeeze the juice from one fresh lime, top with tonic water, and garnish with a slice of pineapple and/or lime (optional). Grilled pineapple is a great touch, as well.
